Elle!

She's here! Elle has officially joined our family! We are so thrilled to have her!
Here I am about to be induced on Friday morning!  One last pregnancy pic!
At 3:00 pm Friday November 9th she was born.  5 lbs 10.5 oz 19 inches long!
Our little family!  Not the best pic, but they were soooo excited to come meet her!
Nice and clean after her bath!
Look at those feet!  She is so tiny!
And so precious!  She is an absolute angel baby!
We  love her so much!  I think we'll keep her!

Happy Halloween!

We had a very fun and happy Halloween this year!

Last spring Nick planted a pumpkin seed in Kindergarten. He gave it to Papa to plant in his garden and after lots of tender, loving care over the summer it grew 3 fabulous pumpkins! Thanks Papa!

We decided to carve one and paint the rest.  Here's how they turned out!

This year Keith took charge of the costumes.  Jack was Mickey Mouse (mostly because we already had the costume and Nick and Hannah were the same thing when they were 3, and he loved it!) Nick was Picachu the Pokemon, and Hannah was Hermione from the Harry Potter books!
We had fun dressing up for parties, trick and trunk or treating!  Here's one of the kids at a family party with all their cousins!
 Happy Halloween!

(On a side note I was so glad/relieved that our baby didn't make a Halloween appearance!  If she doesn't come before Friday on her own I'm going to be induced that morning!  Wish us luck and watch for the upcoming new baby post!)

One Last Hurrah!

So in just a few short weeks a new little peanut will be joining our family.  I decided take advantage of the situation and kidnap Keith for a weekend away!  One last little hurrah before we settle in for a year long of breastfeeding and not going anywhere! :)

I have been to Tuacahn in St. George with lots of family and friends but have never taken my sweet husband. So Saturday morning I woke him up told him to pack an overnight bag and be ready by 9:00am. We left the kids in the competent hands of Aunt Keri and drove down to St. George!  It was so fun to listen to our music and have a conversation and only stop when we had to go potty!  Good times! We checked into the hotel and took a nap!  Ha!  Aren't we old?!?  Then we did a little shopping and had had a yummy dinner at the pizza factory before heading to Tuachan for Hairspray.

We had amazing seats in the center on the 4th row!  Keith was a good sport!  He liked the show even though it probably wasn't his cup of tea!  I have an amazing husband!
Sunday morning we slept in and went out for a late breakfast.  We took our time getting ready and caught a movie on the way home.  It was such a fun and relaxing 36 hours!  Thanks Aunt Keri & Aunt Lynette for allowing us to go!

Okay little bambino!  We're ready for you!  Come when you are ready for us!

Nick's Adventure

About a month ago Nick fell off his scooter and did this to his arm...

Needless to say we rushed to the closet emergency room where they informed us that he would need to go to Primary Childrens Hospital and have surgery done to do this.....

3 pins in his poor little broken humerus.
He was such a trooper though, seriously we are proud of this little man!  Here are a few more pics of his big adventure!
Here he is being super brave at Alta View ER.  They put his arm in a temporary splint so he would be stable enough to travel up to Primarys!
Completely knocked out and ready to be wheeled into surgery!  No mother should have to go through this just so you know!  It broke my heart!
Recovering with some crackers and serious pain medication! Now we know morphine makes him itchy.  Did I mention before how brave he is?!?
He was put in a soft cast for 1 week before the hard cast could be put on.  Here is a pic of 1 of the 3 pins.  Sorry if this makes you squeamish!
Ute Red was the color pick!  He wore this cast for a couple of weeks and then because of some minor complications had to go in for another cast (that time blue was the chosen color)  But he got it off yesterday and seems to be doing great!

We love you Nick!  Thanks for being so tough & brave! No more scooter riding TFN!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Have you ever seen that Office Depot commercial where the mom is skipping down the aisles throwing school supplies into the shopping cart singing "It's the most wonderful time of the year!"? Well that's how I feel! :)  School started!!!!

Not that I don't love my kids.....I do.  But don't they say absence makes the heart grow fonder?  Plus I haven't had a break from all of my kids for almost 9 years!  Now that they are all in school, I have 2 mornings a week all to myself for the next 2 months!  I am going to enjoy it!

Hannah started 3rd grade. She also shares my sentiment about it being a wonderful thing! She loves school! Her teacher Mrs. Hilton seems really nice. Hannah is excited to learn cursive and multiplication this year! She is also excited to have some fun friends in her class again this year!

Nick started 1st grade!  He is getting so tall and grown up!  We were thrilled that he got Mrs. Erickson (Hannah's 1st grade teacher) and I know he is going to learn so much this year!

(I'm keeping my fingers crossed that these 2 stay in touch, she is such a cute girl!)

Happy Back to School!

East Canyon & Jack's 1st day of preschool!

So we snuck one last little va-cay in before summer is officially over. We spent a long weekend up at grandma's condo in East Canyon. We love this place! It's like stepping back in time. The kids get to sleep in bunk beds and there is soooo much to do. We played at the park, mini-golfed, swam, played tennis, shuffleboard, ping pong, air hockey, rode our bikes, played at the lake and in the river and bought lots of treats from the little country store. Here are some highlights of our trip...

Jack also had his first day of preschool!  I can't believe we made it this far! He loved it and was all smiles when I picked him up!
 THE END!

The past 3 months...(in a nutshell)!

I've been such a blog slacker lately! Partly because I recently got a new camera and didn't know how to upload my photos to the computer.  Well I just figured it out and uploaded 577 pictures and needless to say I am a little overwhelmed! :)  But here goes.....the last 3 months....in a nutshell!  Then I vow not to get behind again!

Jack turned 3 at the end of May!  He celebrated his big day by having a party with family and friends at Gymboree!
His favorite part is easily the parachute!
 Happy 3rd big guy!
Our family hiked up to Timpanogus Cave.  It was very cool!
Hannah had her Spring recital for cheer!  She did an amazing job!
I celebrated my 34th birthday!  Hannah bought me a necklace with her own money! What a sweetheart!
Many days were spent chilling at home.  Playing in the backyard or with neighbors.
Of course there's nothing wrong with just chilling with your siblings too!

We bought a pass of all passes this summer and the kids have loved going to Tracy Aviary!  Hannah and Nick both got picked for the bird show and got to hold and feed some very cute birds!

 Jack loved terrorizing the ducks!

We went on vacation to Island Park, Idaho.  The kids and I went to Yellowstone for the first time!  The Griffy's joined us for the day!  It was awesome!

Of course the hot tub at the cabin was a hit too!
Jack also potty trained this summer!  What a big boy! Watch out preschool, here he comes!
We went to visit the Banks in Huntsville and played at Pineview Reservoir!
Hannah and I took a little girls trip to St. George with our friends Veeen and Sara and saw Aladdin at the Tuacahn!
We had swimming lessons!  Hannah wants to do swim team next year!
She's a great swimmer (just like her Dad) and learned to dive off the platform!
Nick is also a little fish and gave up his life jacket this summer!
 Tricky! A knee dive!
They don't offer lessons until you are 4 so Jack was a good sport and played in the kiddie pool!

We celebrated the 4th of July by doing fireworks in our driveway and then watching the fireworks in Sandy from the back of the van!
We celebrated the 24th by going to a Bee's game and watching the fireworks there! We were so close, ash was falling on our heads!
Nick turned 6!  We rented a big inflatable water slide and snow cone machine for the party and then it rained!  (The only day it rained in July!) He was a good sport though and we did the party at home instead.
Later that evening the sun did come out and we had a BBQ with the whole family in Grandma's backyard!
We hiked to donut falls!  There were no donuts at the top! :)
We helped Papa a little in his garden.  Nick is growing his very own pumpkin!
We bought a family pass to Hogle Zoo and rode the train and carousel!

We went to the cabin with the whole family!  Nick caught his first fish!
Hannah was joined at the hip with all her girl cousins!
Jack was a stinker, as usual! :)
And probably one of my favorite pics of the summer... Nick played in the river in his undies! And was proud of it! :)

Keith turned 37! What an old man!
Oh my goodness!  We have 2 1/2 weeks left!  What else do you think we can pack in?  Hopefully more blogging!  Happy summer everyone!
