Nick's 5th Birthday!

We've been so busy this summer! Forgive me as I play a little catch up on my blog!

Nick turned 5 on July 5th this year! We offered him a big party with lots of friends but he decided he wanted to do something with just his family! He is such a sweet boy! :) Keith took the day off & Grandma Dottie watched Jack and we went to Boondocks and played laser tag, arcade games, mini-golf, drove the race cars & bumper boats and had a fabulous time!

Stick 'em up! Nick has a new fascination with guns! We blame in on the cousins! :)

That night we had the grandparents over for cake & ice cream and presents!! Cowboy Nick loved his gifts!

Nicholas is such a sweet, easy going kid! He is a great big & little brother to Hannah & Jack! I am going to miss him this fall when he starts Kindergarten! Happy Birthday buddy! We sure do love you! You are going to love being 5!

Nick's a Hit & Hannah's Shaking It!

During the Spring Nick played T-ball for the Rockets. At the beginning of the season they would hit the ball off the tee, but by the end of the season the coaches were pitching to the kids. This is Nick's first hit off of a pitcher. We are so proud of Nick!





Hannah also took a Hip Hop Cheer class, and was the star of the show. This video is of her recital. She would work on her moves any time she got in front of a mirror, and was especially fond of shimmying. Hip Hip Hooray for Hannah!

Jack made him a super cute apron with his hand prints. It came in very handy for the new BBQ we gave him too! Happy Fathers Day Keith! You are the best daddy 3 very lucky kids could ask for! We love you!

Rigby, Idaho!

This weekend we went to visit my sister, her husband & her 3 adorable children up in Rigby, Idaho! We stopped in Idaho Falls (which is about 15 minutes away) first to see the temple & the incredible falls! The water was moving so fast I couldn't stop counting heads every few minutes for fear someone had fallen in!
We feed the geese & ducks and Jack was enamored with it all! A few tried to eat his fingers!

Saturday we went to Bear World! It was amazing! You drove your car through a preserve filled with bear, moose, buffalo, deer, turkeys & lots of other wildlife! They were so close you could have reached out & pet them if they allowed you to unroll your car windows! The kiddos loved it!

This was one bear you could actually pet! Say cheese!

There was a petting zoo with goats, pigs, deer, turkeys, a peacock and a few other animals. A baby deer was born that morning and was hiding out behind a rock. It was so adorable! There were also baby bears that you could watch playing and growling! Super cute! We feed the ducks & fish too!

Later that afternoon we went out to lunch, rode bikes (Nick learned how to ride a 2 wheeler without training wheels! Yipee!), went to the school playground, played basketball and ended the busy day with a picnic to the park complete with ice cream cones for dessert! Sunday we went to church with the Griff's and headed home! Rigby is an adorable little town & we had so much fun! We can't wait to go back again soon! Thanks for the fun weekend! We love & miss you!

Jack Turns Two!

Saturday Jack turned 2! Crazy! I cannot believe how fast time flies! We started the morning with presents! This little baby will make it into the backyard if it ever stops raining! He loved it!
We went swimming to celebrate! Note:drinking pool water is not recommended!
We had the grandparents over for dinner, cake & ice cream that night!

Running in Utah!

When I lived in Vegas I had a great group of ladies I walked/ran with. We did several 5K's together & always had so much fun! It's not as easy to walk in Utah, especially outdoors! But this great group of girls talked me into running my first 5K since moving back. You'd think by May it would be nice enough to run outside but that morning it snowed a ton! Despite the weather it was a lot of fun!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! We dyed eggs for FHE last Monday with Grandma Dottie. Jack LOVED it! I think he thought all that messy business was too good to be true & we'd make him stop so he kept dunking eggs as fast as he could!
Hannah & Nick were a little more meticulous in their dying. They did a beautiful job!

The Saturday before Easter we went to a neighborhood egg hunt with Aunt Keri & Uncle Mike! The kids had a great time. Jack especially loved picking up the eggs & putting them in his bucket! We got a lot of awesome treasures!

The Easter bunny didn't forget us this year. He brought some new church clothes, our baskets full of goodies & a new play table & chairs. (the kids broke the old one by trying to make it into a slide!)
He also did a great job of hiding the baskets. Hannah's was in the pan drawer!

Nick's was in the dryer!

& Jack's was in the coat closet! He covered his little mouth with his hands & just couldn't believe his luck! He was so excited!

Spring Break 2011

We had such a fun & busy Spring Break this year! The kids have been begging for new scooters. Monday we went to Target & let them pick out one they liked. It seemed we spent a least some time everyday zipping around our neighborhood on our new Razors! When the weather was bad we went to the church & raced around the gym! (I'm going to have to remember & take some pics one of these times!) :)

We also spent a lot of time with our cousins, The Raymonds. We went to the zoo on Tuesday and had a blast! Jack hates being in the stroller! He is getting so big & loved running free around the playground!

Nick & Abby, 5 days apart & about 5 inches difference in height but the best of buds!

Isaac & Hannah! They have a love/hate relationship! It must have been a good moment!

Wednesday we went to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving point. It was gorgeous! Did I mention Jack hates being in the stroller?

Thursday we had our friends the Howells over. We ate lunch together & played at our house. We hit the park & left just before a huge hail storm! Crazy weather here in Utah! Can you say, "Happy SPRING Break" for crying out loud! I guess I must have been too busy dodging hail stones to remember to take pics.

Friday we went to Planet Play. We had all you can eat pizza buffet for lunch and then did mini-golf, bumper cars & video games. The kids were in heaven!

This was Nick & Hannah's favorite game. Their little cheeks were bouncing and they laughed & giggled through the whole thing, twice!

I'm so glad school started Monday! I'm exhausted from our fabulous Spring Break!

We love cousins!

My sister Melanie and her 3 sweet kids came down from Idaho to stay with us a few weeks back! We had a great time! Her kids are almost twins to my 3 kids & they play & get along great! We went to Chuck E. Cheese, had a sleepover, went out to lunch & to the park! We love our cousins! We will come visit you soon! The big sleepover, complete with movie & popcorn!
