Our little Georgie!

Wasn't it George Costanza in Seinfeld that took his pants off while napping? Anyways every afternoon when I get Jack up from his nap this is what I find....

Jack disrobed from the waist down. Pants can be so constricting! I guess he's more comfy sleeping in just his diaper! Luckily he has never taken that off!
(He usually is happy when he wakes up, he is just mad I was taking pictures and not picking him up!) What a silly nut!

Girls Weekend!

The thing I miss most about not living in Las Vegas is not seeing my walking club every Mon.-Thurs. night at approximately 8:30! These ladies were my best friends and we share many memories from spending so much time "working out" every weeknight. I didn't have any family in Vegas for a bit and I considered these ladies my Vegas sisters. So we decided to meet up in St. George last weekend for a much need girls weekend away. We've talked about doing this for many years and I guess we finally made it happen.

We ate dinner at the Brick Oven Friday night and did a little shopping. We stayed up until 3:00 in the morning chatting and watching each others wedding videos. We had some great laughs.

What do think of our matching headbands?!? Those would have come in handy walking on windy winter nights! :) L to R: me, Barbs, Kelly, Allison W., Allison F., Naquel

We all bought the same plaque to remember the trip; "A friend is like a four leaf clover, lucky to have & hard to find." Aww!

Saturday we did a little more shopping and went to lunch at 5 guys! Yummy!

Thanks ladies for the great weekend! You are all such great examples to me and I truly value our friendship! Thanks for being so awesome! Can't wait until the next weekend away! Keep in touch! Love you all!

Happy Birthday Hannah!

Yesterday was Hannah's 7th birthday! We celebrated by going out to dinner as a family Friday night at Red Robin! (her choice). She loves getting the spaghetti & salad and she can eat the whole thing! She also loves the free birthday dessert!

Hannah got an American Girl Doll for Christmas and for her birthday present she wanted the matching pajamas, robe & slippers! So adorable!

Saturday she had a party with 9 girlfriends! It was a slumber party without the sleepover! All the girls wore their PJ's & brought a stuffed animal. We decorated bags, painted nails, watched a short movie while eating pizza & popcorn, had a pinata, ate cake & ice cream & opened presents! It was a fun & crazy 2 hours! Thanks to Aunt Keri for coming to help & to Nana for watching Jack during the frenzy! Hannah has been lucky to make so many new, great friends since we moved here & she has a few fabulous old friends from when we lived here before too! Such sweet & generous girls, she got lots of nice presents! :)

Blingin' out the bags!

10 fun friends!

Hannah Montana anyone?

A pink bubblegum ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins! YUMMY!

Best buddies! Hannah was so sweet to invite her brother Nick too!

We sure love our Hannah Banana and are so glad she is a part of our family! Happy Birthday sweetheart!

For Auld Lang Syne

"Should old acquaintance be forgot & never brought to mind?" Heck no! When old acquaintances from Vegas come to town hopefully they want to spend some time with the Nigburs!

We had so much fun with the Banks last week! We went downtown for dinner & to see the lights at temple square! We also warmed up with a little cocoa at Keiths office. Our little families match so perfect & our kids get along so well! Troy & Barbs are great friends & we miss them terribly since moving! They were one of the hardest things to leave behind! Hannah & Enya are peas in a pod! Kaden & Nick are good buds too! Wesley & Jack didn't quite have the time to bond but I think they would have loved one another!

Thanks Banks! Know the invite it always open to come visit anytime! We love & miss you!

We also had the opportunity to visit with our good friends the Ross family after Christmas. They came over for dinner & some playtime for the kiddos! Hannah & Sydney are good friends & Nick & Brooklyn were preschool buddies last year! Connor was really cute with Jack. Keith & Chris get along well too! Naquel is such a sweetheart and one of my long lost running/walking buddies! I miss all of those ladies but Naquel was the rock of the group! We had a great time hanging with you guys! Sorry about all the snow! Come visit again soon!

We're Dreaming of a White Christmas.....

Today was a busy day! Keith had the day off and we packed it all in! We started the morning by making snow people in our front yard! One is Nick and one is Hannah. Can you tell which is which?

We also went sledding at the local hill at a park near our house. It rained a lot yesterday and the snow was pretty wet. We had the whole hill to ourselves. I wonder why? Hannah & I fell into a puddle at the end of a run. I think I fared it better! Nick & Hannah were so brave & wanted to go again and again. On their bums, on their bellies on top of Dad's back, stacked 3 high. You name it! They were game for everything! We forced Jack to be brave and made him go a time or two but it didn't seem to be his cup of tea! Poor Vegas baby!

That night we drove up to Heber City for a ride on the North Pole Express! So fabulous! The kids got new jammies and we got to meet St. Nick himself! There was hot cocoa and singing carols and fun had by all!

We hope everyone has a Christmas as merry as ours!

The Nutcracker 2010

One of the things I remember about being little was going to the Nutcracker at Capitol Theater with my ballet class. We went out to lunch before & my mom & Oma came too! I felt so grown up and it was so much fun having my mom & Oma all to myself. My Oma bought me a nutcracker during intermission and I still have it on my mantel. I wanted to recreate that memory with Hannah and I thought this was the year that she was finally big enough to sit through the Nutcracker! We got all dressed up and took some pictures in front of the tree.

We drove downtown and parked at Keith's building and walked 2 blocks to Capitol Theater. She was so excited & looked so big in her darling coat & boots. After thinking very hard she picked out a purple nutcracker (surprise surprise). She loved the show and sat wide-eyed through the whole thing. It was wonderful! She said her favorite part was Mother Buffoon. (The big lady/man with all the kiddos under the skirt!) That was my favorite part when I was little too!

We went to dinner after at the Cheesecake Factory. (her choice). We split a salad, pasta & peppermint cheesecake. It was so fun being with just her and having a girls day out! Love you Hannah! Can't wait for many more mother/daughter dates to come!

(I think we've already started planning the next.....who's in for The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn next summer?)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year! I cooked my first turkey! We had Grandma Dottie over for a late lunch Thanksgiving Day and served turkey with all the fixings! I think it turned out pretty good for the first time. If I ever do it again I might do it differently but no one went hungry! That morning we all went together to see Tangled. It was darling!
Before the big carve! I know it's little but it only had to feed 6!

Hannah made cute little place cards for everyone!

Rub a dub dub! Thanks for the grub!
The next day we celebrated Thanksgivng with my side of the family at Nana & Papa's church. There are so many of us we really don't fit anywhere else! Our kids had fun playing with cousins in the gym! I worked hard on my contribution to the meal, picking up pies at Marie Calendars! (I had to take it easy after my hard work the day before!)

Hannah and some of her fabulous girl cousins!
Crazy Jack!

Luke & Nick, best buddies!

Me, Nana & Jack

We are so grateful this year to be back with friends and family in Utah. Happy Thanksgiving!

Got Lights?

So our neighbor called a few days ago to inform us he was renting a boom lift to hang his Christmas lights and wanted to know if we would like to use it also! Apparently we have moved onto a version of "Christmas Street" and next door to the Griswolds! We weren't even sure we were hanging Christmas lights but got a little bullied into it! We can be so bah-humbug but we are glad we did it! Our kids love it and it looks great! Hannah was so brave and wanted to go up & help Dad. It was pretty windy that day and the lift was moving & bumping all over the place!

Keith has more life insurance than I do so he got the job of going up high in the lift and hanging the lower lights by getting up on the ladder. He only smashed his hand once and got a small case of frostbite!
Well worth the effort and just in time too, it ended up snowing over 6 inches that night! Now we can say we are the weirdos who put up their Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving! Here's to the start of a very merry season!

Park City!

We headed up the canyon to spend the weekend in beautiful Park City! Thanks Grandma for letting us use your condo....we had a fabulous time!

We spent most of our time chilling, watching movies & playing games in the condo.

We also spent a lot of time swimming at the pool & hanging in the hot tub.

There were a couple of a fun game rooms with video games, pool, air hockey, ping pong & chess.

Hannah lost a tooth while we were gone & luckily the tooth fairy visits you while on vacation! She now has 3 teeth in a row missing in the front with a 4th very loose. I guess we know what she'll be asking for this Christmas!
We went out to dinner on Main Street and got a treat at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory after. It was so gorgeous with the leaves changing to beautiful autumn colors and the weather was perfect with just a hint of fall crisp in the air.
It was the weekend get-a-way we needed! Spending fun family time together!
