First Snowfall!

Yikes! (Isn't it a little early for this post?) We woke up this morning to our first snowfall of the season....about 4 inches! My kids were ecstatic!!! ME?...not so much. The kids kept asking if it was Christmas and we haven't even gone trick or treating! I know you Vegas ladies are laughing your heads off right now! I don't have a scraper for my car or a shovel for my walks! Luckily we went to Target last night and bought new boots, gloves, and snow pants for the kiddos. Hmmmm....maybe I brought this all upon myself! Well I guess winter's here...bring on the anti-depressants! :)

BTW Jack loved the snow until he fell face forward into it, white washing himself! Now when I ask him if he wants to see the snow he just shakes his head no, no, no! (just like his mommy!)

Comment left by one of your Vegas ladies who is indeed laughing. Come back Nigbur's ... come back!!!

Jack looks adorable in that picture where he's still fond of snow. I knew he was a wise one, the minute I held him. Snow is pretty from a distance ... like in movies and pictures and stuff. Not so much up close ... certainly not face first.

Yes, I am laughing, a bit. People may complain about the Vegas summers, but this is why we love Vegas in the fall/winter - it's beautiful here right now.

Although, I must admit that I miss the snow. I don't miss cleaning it up off the driveway or scraping my windshield in the freezing cold. But I do miss how clean everything looks. And yes, kids love the stuff! Guess we have to settle for the cold hard snow up Mt. Charleston around January.

Buck up my soft, Vegasite sister! We'll have to go sledding together- your kids will love it (even Jack, we'll convert him yet) JK- it's a little early for me though, were did fall go? I could go for just a couple months of it, not six! Maybe this means spring will come early?!

Wow that is early snow, we don't even have any yet. It is cold here and it snowed one day a little but melted right away. I hope you and Jack don't freeze to death. My kids love the snow too, hopefully we can sled and play this winter sometime. Stay warm!

Holy moly you got a lot of snow over on your side!! We definitely didn't have THAT much! The kids wanted to sled, but I was a party pooper and said not this time. ;) Not quite ready to bundle everyone up in their snow pants! Glad we're going to have some warmer weather this next week...hopefully no more snow for a little bit. ;)

Definitely not jealous. Good luck with your first winter ;)

That is horrible. I am so sorry for the snow. Glad your kids love it but really its just a pain. I guess the only good thing about it is now you can start drinking all the hot chocolate you want! Happy winter to you :)

You were the one that wanted to get back to UT so bad! Snow sucks! It's only pretty for about 2 hours and then it just gets piled up and dirty. Have fun shoveling all winter. I'll be enjoying the nice cool air and bright sunny skies of Vegas. Can you tell I'm still a little bitter that you left. Rex still asks to go see Nicholas. It's just SAD!!!

Holy snow! I love the pictures, so cute!! We typically don't get a lot of snow in Washington just rain...I like to drive to the snow, play in it, then leave! We'll see what happens this winter, I may have just jinxed it;)
