Merry Christmas!

The week proceeding Christmas was a busy one here at the Nigbur home. After school parties/programs Aunt Keri came for a quick visit over the weekend of the 19th. We exchanged gifts, made cookies, and went to the lights at the Springs Preserve.

Monday we drove up to Utah for my Oma's funeral. She was very old and miserable so we think it was a blessing. She was a wonderful Grandma and I have fond memories of her growing up. We are grateful she is with Opa and her parents now in heaven and free of pain. It was a quick trip because we drove home very late Tuesday night.

Wednesday we did a quick repack and jumped back into the car and headed to Williams AZ for the Polar Express. It was a surprise for our kids and they loved it. We rode the train all the way to the North Pole and saw Santa in our jammies. We also swam at the hotel (which always seems to be their favorite part!)

We got back late Christmas Eve and celebrated with just our little family. (The first time ever!) Christmas morning was awesome. Santa was very generous this year and our kids got many loud, extremely annoying toys. Thanks Santa! Jack loved his first Christmas too! His biggest gift was a helmet to help shape out the flat spot on his head. Even though it was a bit busy we had a fabulous time. Merry Christmas everyone!

Looks like a great Christmas to me! I think little Jack looks great and the best thing is that it will make things better for him right?
Silly Mike said that he forgot you are supposed to wear your PJ's to the North Pole, I am glad you guys helped him remember :)
Love you lots!

I knew you would already have your Christmas blog done, you are on top of things. I am glad you got to do the polar express, that looked fun. I love the picture of Hannah's guitar and you can see Nick's backside as he is bending over. Jack's helmet looks good and he was sitting up, what a big boy. I am glad you had a great Christmas.

We ALMOST did the Polar Express! We just couldn't find a day that would work that wasn't sold out! Sad! Next year we will probably do it. Glad to hear it was fun. Jack is getting so big! What a cutie....those helmets are fun, huh? We've had quite a few friends and family that have had to get one. I love Hannah's picture with Nick's bum in the background. lol Miss you guys!

How fun. We did the Polar Express last year and had a lot of fun. I love Nicks little bum in the background of the picture of Hannah. Sound like it was a good Christmas for you. I love little Jacks helmet. Luke had to wear one too when he was about that age and I hated it. It got so smelly because we lived in hot Arizona in the summer. Hope it doesnt stay on too long. Hey by the way my scheduled date to have my baby is on the 21st of Jan.

I'm glad you had a great Christmas. I'm so not surprised that you did so many fun things with your family. The polar express looks so fun. There's one here in Heber but we've never gone. It just seems to cold for me. I hope you have a great New Year!!!

I am glad you had such a wonderful Christmas!! It looks like you are making some wonderful memories for you and your kids! Hannah looks just like your sister, Emily!! I like the helmet!! Dylan should have had one but the Doctor didn't think he needed one. He has this huge flat spot on one side!!

So apparently to leave comments like "oh nick's bum is soo cute in the background" you can't be the 9th commenter. Aren't you sooo popular.
